Fitted Carpet is counted-up by the ‘Room or Area’ -from the very smallest nooks, all the way to very large spaces.

Pricing by the Room or Area assumes there may be some furniture or items in the room. With our unique Dri-Way method, you don’t have to completely empty the area. Our modern, ultra low-moisture techniques allow us to clean around and between any immoveable furniture or obstacles. Likewise, we can shift certain items around as required (see Preparing for your Dri-Way Cleaning for further details).

There is no extra charge if some or all of your Rooms or Areas are totally empty, giving us access to clean the whole space from wall-to-wall. After you have selected the Rooms or Areas you determine are appropriate for your needs, we will set aside the correct amount of time to complete that job. The technician will not adjust the invoice on the cleaning day unless a drastic error has been made.

Simply measure the Length x Width (in feet), in each carpeted space in your home. No need to get too particular with your measurements  -we just need a basic footprint or rough idea of your areas in order to best serve you!

Then select from this list of convenient sizes that most closely resemble what you have -it doesn’t have to be exact…

How to self-measure your own rugs for in-home cleaning.

After preparing your itemized list detailing each of your rugs and their Square Feet, simply hop back over to complete your Custom Quote form. First time inquirers use the First-Time Inquiry Form. Repeat, happy Dri-Way customers please use the Repeat Client Form. Commercial inquiries please use the Commercial Form.

Unsuitable for in-home cleaning: Certain rugs that are too small or too flimsy, certain types of hand-knotted items, ones with exotic fibres, and those with intense soiling or staining conditions (especially odour, urine, or other pet-related issues) may require care in a rug specialist shop, which is a service we currently do not offer. What is too flimsy? Rule of thumb: If your rug (or mat) is floppy enough so that you can gather it up in your arms in a bunch, then it’s too flimsy and needs to be taken to a shop, or perhaps a dry cleaner can help. Our technician will always perform a ‘hands & knees’ inspection before cleaning to ensure your rug is suitable for our in-home methods. If upon arrival for your scheduled cleaning service appointment our technician decides together with you that your rug is not suitable, he will happily to refer you to the appropriate local rug shop specialist.

Upholstery is assessed by the Linear Foot

Linear foot simply means we measure the width of piece of upholstery from arm-to-arm, in feet, to get a number for pricing purposes. For example, a two-person loveseat sofa is often about 5 feet wide from arm to arm, so we call that 5 Linear Feet. We do not need any other number (not height, not depth), just the width. There’s a lot of variability in upholstery, so please use the following handy chart of common upholstery items to see how you can create a list of your own items to send us pricing.

After preparing your itemized list detailing each of your upholstery items and their Linear Feet, simply hop back over to complete your Custom Quote form. sofa-chaises

When assessing your L (or U) shaped sofa, measure along each length. Be sure to subtract the portions where the lengths overlap (usually about 2-3 feet) so we don’t charge you twice for the same bits!
